Been Awhile
Yeah I know it's been awhile since I've posted. Sort of unlike me but I've been a little busy the last month or so. The good news is that dh's job finally offered a PPO for employees. Can you believe the only option was an HMO that paid absolutely nothing? Anyway this just happened 2 weeks ago so Yippeee and they pay for infertility treatment - a $10,000 lifetime max. It may help me pay for one cycle of IVF.
I'm trying very hard to avoid having to go that far. I feel it, something will happen soon. :). Not so surprising one of my old coworkers/friends called me up last week. (yeah you know where this is going don't ya?) Well I asked what she was up to and she said "nothing, tired all the time, nauseas and sleeping all the time." As a joke I asked if she was pregnant. Lo and behold she is.
I mean if a 36 year old with one ovary and only bd twice last month gets pregnant, I'm sure something is in store for me this year. I wish her the best--she has two teenagers and thought she was done. Her woes are starting over and my woes are trying to start. Always something huh?

Hey, at least your PPO/HMO pays SOMETHING! Ours pays zilch...and we're just figuring things out.
Hang in there!
Well actually lucky me my hubby got yet another job shortly after the last post. Now we have to wait until Dec. 1st for insurance and this one is not looking like its going to pay much if anything. What's worse is it's one of those High Deductible plans. It's great if you only need the basics. It's there is a deductible I will be waiting until January before I do anything to avoid having to pay the deductible twice.

my cousin her husband went through in vitro, and they have just had a darling little girl, Rose, of course as beautiful as can be. 6lbs. 7oz.
even if it has been a while since your last posting i certainly hope that you keep writing.
i saw you had written about that nbc broadcast about the potential dangers of certain vitamins... that was what (search) brought me here, so i figured i would share this other post i came across in the same search as it may be of some interest to your other readers... it general discusses dietary concerns that might boost fertility, and i found it interesting.
happy to have landed here, and i'm going to page through your other posts...
congrats on the ppo, and the best to the both of you,
darla
The fact that they pay out something is something positive right!? :) Don't worry, just hang in there and you will conceive and get there! It took my husband and I well over a year to conceive our first, and we had a lot of walls to climb over and break through. Keep us updated! :)
