Denying free IVF on basis of Obesity?

Obesity = pay for IVF?

I guess this is a prime example of "kick you while you're down." Dealing with obesity and infertility has to be extremely trying. But to deny free IVF on the basis of obesity alone? I agree if there are health risks to back this decision. However, if you are going to deny free IVF on the basis of being overweight, then the procedure should not be performed at all on overweight patients.

This article brings up other issues related to adopting this opinion. I realize that there are risks but the risks are there whether or not the patient pays, so why take the risks if she pays?
